Texas Counties Deliver – learn how county government serves you
JACKSON COUNTY NAVIGATION DISTRICT

Jackson County is home to the "Channel to Red Bluff", a Federally-authorized commercial navigation channel approved by United States Congress in 1956.  The Jackson County Navigation District oversees any proposed activity that may impact this channel including administering all pipeline easements crossing the Navidad and Lavaca Rivers from the Lake Texana Dam south, to the Calhoun County line. The district purchased title to this property from the State of Texas in 1966.  The district's easement policy can be obtained from the General Manager at the below address.  All owners will be required to furnish a pipeline crossing location, detailed plan, and profile view, prepared by a licensed surveyor prior to discussing details of easement.
